Hello, i will preface by saying that I am not a cat owner. My neighbor feeds the strays and this one has been using my porch to rest. I noticed the back of its neck has broken skin. When I sent her the pix and videos, she said she had been trying to capture it to take it to the vet.

She also thinks this was either a coyote bite or an owl. I think it’s a bad bacterial/fungal infection. What could it be and until she traps it, is there any pain medication she can provide in its food?

I am not trying to adopt, nor increase the cat colony my neighbor has, but I also do not want to see an animal suffer. Houston,TX
