Do cats know when you get injured?

Yesterday I had a minor head injury from a rebar falling on my head because I foolishly forgot basic safety and i stupidly leaned it against a unstable shelf in a garage, and I guess I bumped into something while cleaning and the darn thing fell on my head. I don’t think I got a concussion or anything and I was fine and dandy.

I went to sleep and I slept till 1pm today, something I haven’t done in months or years because my cat usually wakes me up at 8am-10am for food(have to manually feed him because he eats too fast and then throws up if he has unlimited acesss to food).

I wake up and my cat is paitently sitting nearby on my bed just looking at me with such concerned eyes. He was unusually quite, only when I woke up did he start meowing.

I heard that head injuries makes you sleep longer sometimes. But for my cat to not wake me up early today made me think that maybe he somehow knew that I got a head injury and needed to sleep longer and didn’t disturb me.

Almost cried to be honest. I know that I shouldn’t put human emotions on cats but part of me thinks he knew that i got injured.
