Hey everyone,
I went through an interview process with one virtual round and then a final in-person panel. During the in-person, they told me this was the final decision round and that they had one more candidate to interview before deciding. They also mentioned I’d hear back by a specific date.
On that date, the hiring manager reached out, apologized for the delay, and said they were still doing some due diligence and would have a decision by a new date.
Then on that new date, instead of a decision, a recruiter (who hadn’t been involved before) reached out saying the hiring manager wants to schedule one more phone call with me and asked for my availability.
Just trying to understand—what does this usually mean at this stage? Has anyone experienced something like this?
