So as the title says, some MF literally hit and ran our car today, but I was in the backseat (aunt drove me) with the adopted cat (in carrier, middle seat) DAY OF. Throughout the car ride before the accident, the kitty was very well behaved, sleeping in the car and even when the accident happened, still calm which surprised me. The kitty is completely uninjured thankfully, but we had to wait in the Arizona heat for a hot bit, and he was drooling meaning he was overheating :( … Eventually we got home thru a Waymo with the AC cold for him, but when we open the carrier he fled under the couch inside a hole underneath which didn’t surprise me since it’s normal for most cats…

But for this to be a really rare and tragic event to happen to him, I really don’t know if an accident like this can traumatize the poor cat. But how do I know he’ll come out and warm up to us? He’s a very sweet kitty so I feel VERY bad… even if it wasn’t our fault some MF decided to do that shit.
