Hello,

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but our cat CeCe just passed away unexpectedly two days ago. We have had CeCe for 12 years but my wife adopted her from a shelter. We believe she was 15 years old. CeCe was the light in our hearts she made us feel whole.

The day of her passing we came home from being out all day with our son at a baseball game. I found her laying in the hallway coughing. I yelled for my wife and we ran over to her. She coughed one more time and then she stopped. I put my head to her and could still hear a heart beat. We put her in a blanket and my wife rushed her to the vet but on the way to the vet CeCe unfortunately passed.

CeCe has been struggling with issues with her heart and with high blood pressure. We have been giving her medication but this was about 6 months ago when it started and seems to just have slowly gotten worse. She went partially blind and seems to have not improved.

The day she passed I picked her up before we went to the baseball game and held her and pet her. Things have been extremely busy for us and we unfortunately haven’t been giving any of our cats as much attention as I would have liked to. I’m struggling with the fact that I could have done more for her in the time she was here and so is my wife.

I just want to write this post to say to anyone that might also be going through this that life is precious and you never know when something unexpected might happen so take a moment even if you’re extremely busy to be with your animals and pet them and hold them.

CeCe I love you forever ❤️
