What is everyone’s thoughts about allowing cats outdoor if they’re supervised? And if you do what safe guards do you take to make sure they’re protected?

I occasionally bring 2 of my cats outdoors with me weather permitting. I have a catio that is attached directly to my house with a cat door but these 2 cats always line up at the door with the dogs to go outside. We have a large fenced in area (7 foot privacy fence) with no gaps underneath nor any trees close to the fence itself. I don’t use any type of insecticides or weed killer or anything like that as we live in a rural area and I don’t want to poison the wildlife or my own pets. I removed any plants that are toxic (I relocated daylily’s to outside of the fence) and I want to stress I NEVER leave the cats unattended and it’s only during the day. I doubt my one cat can get over the fence as he is declawed (I adopted him that way, I would never declaw a cat) and the other one has kitty cap on. There are vaccinated and on flea treatment.

Is there anything I’m missing to keep them safe? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
