My adult cat absolutely hated my girlfriend’s adult cat. In the end, we just couldn’t get them to get along.

For context, back then we were moving in together and my girlfriend handled the introduction all wrong, she basically just put them face-to-face right away.

Now, I’m planning to adopt a little male tuxedo kitten to keep her company. Do you guys think she’ll be more accepting this time? I feel like there’s less of a territorial issue when it’s a kitten. I’m going to take the introduction process very slow this time, but I’d love to get some opinions or hear from anyone who’s been through something similar. I read somewhere that females tend to accept male kittens more easily. How did it go for you?
