Okay I set up a call yesterday with a potential candidate for a recruiter position with my company. I had it set as Google meet, she asked if we can do a call sure fine. I have a Ai EA in my email and it drafts my response for me so in the mix of us confirming out call I missed the message about calling a different number than what was on her application and resume.

I call the number on the resume it says the number was disconnected. I email her saying her I called it says the number disconnected.

I saw her response this morning her response was 1. Did you call on time ( lol) and 2. Did you call the number from the email. I responded saying my apologies I did not see that email response so no I did not but I called on time.

That made me think, so I asked her if you have a different number why was it not on your resume or the application you completed? She did not respond to my specific question but said I gave you a number to call. I responded by saying you still did not answer my question. Then I proceeded to say that making sure we have current and updated information when submitting candidate is a rule with my company we have to be able to contact the candidate and email flow from HMs to CEO, managers so they need to be updated and if she candidate not update her personal resume before applying to a role she is not the best candidate for this job. I thanked her for her time and blocked.
