my cat who’s 5yrs old has been spayed twice when she was less than a year old.
2nd vet thought the 1st vet might have left some ovaries but the 2nd vet found nothing. We went back to the 1st vet and he insisted we inject our cat with a med to subdue the heat that he refused to name. It worked thankfully.

I eventually found out in late 2024 that he’s been injecting our cat with medroxyprogesterone! After that we no longer took her to that clinic. My cat got no medroxy last year (2025) and was weirdly okay but for the last few days she’s been in heat.

N.B. We live in a third world country and vets are NOT well trained in treating small animals. They study mostly about farm animals.
