So I’m currently looking for a second job. Applied for an assistant manager position at a local self-storage facility. Last Friday got a call for a phone interview right then and there but was busy so asked to schedule the following day. Next day comes, I wake up, get prepared for the interview and sat by the phone. Appointment time comes around, no call. 15mins later, no call. 30mins later, no call. All day no call. I didn’t have an opportunity to call back to see what happened as I had to go to my current job. I also was extremely annoyed they ghosted me so I was already counting them as a loss.

Skip ahead to yesterday. Woke up to a voicemail from them saying, “Hello “my name” were calling to discuss your in person interview for today!” I was obviously confused because we only talked that one day.

I called them back and immediately told them I was returning their call but I never got a call for the phone interview or knew anything about an interview person one. They responded with, “Oh I’m sorry we got you confused with another applicant who also has your same name.”

So they tried to offer another phone interview right then and there but again I was busy to leave for an appointment so I rescheduled again for today.

Same thing again. Appointment time came. No call. I called back after 30mins. Got their voicemail, told them I’m rescinding my application for their blatant unprofessionalism and disrespect.

I really wanted to add to the end of my voicemail “You really suck at your job if this is how you handle interviews”
