My 2 year old, neutered, cat was diagnosed with a fracture and displacement of the femoral head in the right hip and fracture of the femoral head in the left hip. He will be having the FHO procedure on both hips on May 1st.
My question or want for advice is:

Would you do kennel or play pen with top for containment?

My cats turn their noses to wet food, but I’m sure extra moisture/wet food would be the best post-surgery. Are there any preferred wet foods for post surgery?

Any advice from anyone who has had to help a kitty through any type of hip surgery? I’ve watched tons of others stories on tiktok, read too much on Google.

Any advice for waiting for the surgery? I feel absolutely terrible for him and the pain killer and anti-inflammatory they gave him should wear off sometime tomorrow and I’m concerned for his pain levels but he definitely hides the pain well.
