hi all! i adopted two kittens on saturday, 04/18. they are three months old & the only kittens in their litter. my gray kitten weighs 1.6 pounds at 12 weeks, while her sister weighs 2.8 pounds. both are spayed & up to date on vaccines. i’ve added some photos of them together to try & demonstrate the size difference.

my gray kitten was seen at the vet on 04/16 (before adoption) and was presented for failure to thrive. she only gained .2 pounds in a month & was put on deworming meds. i was told that she was very slow to wean & start regular food, since she was fostered with her mom. since coming home, her appetite seems regular, but she is having a lot of liquid stool.

she will be seeing a vet tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation, and if their kitten “caught up”? any tips to help her gain weight? she likes churu tubes a LOT, but has 0 interest in wet food.
