Recently, we adopted a kitten. She’s been with us for 2 weeks, is bringing real joy to our house.

She’s a very good eater. There’s not much she won’t eat. She has access to dry food all day. We make sure that bowl stays fresh with enough for a little belly. At about 10am, my husband gives her kitten milk; he boils a little water, puts it in a holder bowl, then her metal bowl goes on top and the milk goes in that, to take the chill off (we’re coming into winter in Australia, nicer for a little belly)

At 7pm I give her wet food. Which we haven’t found one she doesn’t like. Chicken, beef, fish, it’s all good.

At 1am I feed our dog (my husband works late, and this time allows us to give the dog any leftovers with his dinner. He also has access to kibble all day, which he barely touches and the birds mostly eat). Luna (kitten) has decided that she must try the dog’s wet food before he gets it (second photo). She only has a small amount, tiny belly and all, but I won’t let her eat his kibble, it’s too big.

I just wanted to know what she shouldn’t be eating, what could be toxic to her. The house we got her from told us they would give her bolognese and roasted chicken (which she also likes, I’ve given her very small amounts as a treat), and she really goes for cheese and Devon (only very small amounts again, I don’t want to hurt her).

Any advice would be great. My sons are very attached to her, as are my husband and myself. We hope she’ll be with us for a long time.
