If you have a college degree and I’m hiring you for white collar professional work, you had either be interested in work itself or the organization, because otherwise I’m not hiring you. It’s unacceptable to spend 4-8 years studying a field and then walk into an interview for a job where you will be expected to think critically, solve problems, and generally meet the obligations of a professional and have the attitude of someone who will do literally anything and has no preferences if the money is the same.
I don’t care if you think it’s not fair. I can find people who care, and I’m going to hire them.
