I had an onsite interview 4 days ago and I’ve a call with HR tomorrow. I’m dying in anxiety about the outcome. I’m trying to dissect signals from HR to anticipate the outcome. I think they are going to reject me, based on the following things:

  1. Time delay in HR response: I had dropped a mail to hr (standard thank you for the interview

email). The HR wrote back saying “Would you have some time for a quick call and we can discuss the further steps and process”. I replied immediately but didn’t get a response, I dropped a “checking-in w you” email today. To which the Hr replied and we have a call set for tomorrow.

  1. Call duration: the call duration that has been set for tomorrow is 10mins. It’s hard for me to imagine that a 10min call is to say I got the offer.

That being said - there is something in the reply to the thank you email I sent that got my hopes up when I received it. The mail from HR mentioned that the team also had a good impression and feedback about me.

I really like the position, worked really hard for it. I’m spiralling right now. Am I reading into this too much? If it’s bad news I just want to brace for impact as soon as I can.
