Hello! We just moved into a new apartment and we’re planning on putting a litter box in this cubby by the fireplace (apparently it used to be used to store firewood before the fireplaces were made electric).

With the new apartment, we’re also getting all new litter boxes, so any advice/recommendations/opinions on those are greatly appreciated as well! I was looking into splurging on a stainless steel one, are they worth it?

The dimensions of the cubby are:

21” W, 24” H, 39.5” D

One thing I’m worried about is with the cubby being so deep, scooping is gonna be a pain. Any ideas on how to make that easier are greatly appreciated. Any other tips or advice that would make this a better space for the cats or us that I’m not thinking of would be awesome, thanks!
