Went on two really great interviews this month. First one on 1st April. With regard to the 2nd interview the company called me a week later and basically rushed me in with 1 day’s notice (10th April) to attend the 2nd interview in person. Otherwise I would have had to wait a long time for it because for some reason they weren’t gonna fit in any more interviews until this week (from 20th April). So of course I said yes and attended the interview.

Then, I waited patiently for almost two weeks after my 2nd interview because I knew that they weren’t gonna conduct any new interviews for a while.

Fast forward to today, they’ve emailed me to say that the role has been put on hold due to a ‘restructure’ taking place. Why did it take them until the ‘final answer’ stage for them to figure out that they suddenly needed a restructure???

I’m just so frustrated because I’ve been looking for a new job for over a year and this role is integral for my career development.

This is really damaging my hope and self esteem. It feels like I’m never gonna find a new job and I’m gonna be stuck doing the same thing forever.
