For some context… I’ve had my cat (10) since she was a kitten and she was rarely exposed to any other pets up until she was around 6. A family member moved in with 1 dog and 3 cats. My cat was very often wandering around the living space, albeit, scared of the other animals. And nowadays she doesn’t even leave our attic unless it’s for food or to use the litter box.

Fast forward a few years and there’s only one other cat here and she’s 12. The 12 y/o is very easily scared & anxious. My cat is also very easily scared but not as anxious.

They’ve spent the last 4 or so years together and they still aren’t used to one another. Is there any advice that could be given in helping them get along naturally? Even if it takes a while, I wouldn’t mind. It’s a little heartbreaking not seeing my cat be as free around the house as she used to be. It’s also sad seeing the two fight. Would really appreciate some help with this. Thank you!
