Hello, I have a discharged note on a U5 from 2020. I have only had an offer rescinded twice for this, once on an offer within a month of being fired, the other time was earlier this month, a whopping 6 months later. Specifically, my U5 says “Concerns that individual did not attend to customer calls in accordance with company call handling procedures. Not sales practice related.” In a nutshell, I had a technical issue that impacted how inbound client calls came in, it caused calls to go directly to voicemail. I had immediately notified my manager via our team’s chat instead of a direct email or direct message (such a dumb mistake, I know) it caused the issue to appear unreported and came off as call avoidance. I was fired for this and I always disclose it when prompted during interviews, framing it as a mistake that I made and am accountable for, and have since learned from and never repeated (as seen from no other U5s with a discharged status or bad comments).
I have not had any issue with this U5 with any of the 3 companies that I had worked for since then, and when discussing with a recruiter that I had interviewed with this week, they mentioned that some firms are just more stringent on things like U5s than others. I was wondering does anyone have any experience with or know of any companies that may be more lax with U5s and possibly credit? Any companies that are merciless on these?
Thanks
