Please, if anyone has advice on how to get my cat to stop getting on the counter, please tell me! I know that cats are known for doing things like this, and I should’ve expected it, but I’ve had her for 4 years now, and she recently started this habit about 2 weeks ago. She also seems extremely hungry right after I feed her, which is very unusual—it’s like she’s scavenging for food, and it’s concerning. She’s quite young, or at least I think so. I believe I’ve had her since she was around 15 weeks, so I don’t know if it’s her increasing appetite or just her being really hungry. I feed her 3 to 4 times a day and maybe 1 or 2 treats. I feed her at 8am wet food mixed with dry, some crushed freeze-dried chicken, and omega oil; then at 12pm, I give her a small portion of wet food, enough to keep her full; then again at 5pm, I give her dry food to last her through the night, and she usually eats any leftovers around 8pm I’ve taken her to the vet, and they said everything is fine, but I don’t understand. The reason I mention the countertops is because it’s not only annoying and unhygienic, but she finds food—even if it’s just a bag of chips—and rips it open and eats it. Please help me or at least share your thoughts. Thank you all!
