I have a beautiful 3 year old Siamese cat that I’ve raised since she was a kitten. I moved into a new apartment last August, and ever since then she’s become completely fixated on my desk in my bedroom.

This isn’t a typical work setup, it’s dedicated to my flight simulator that I use for student pilot training, and I have about $5,000 worth of equipment there. She constantly walks across it, chews on the cables, and interferes whether I’m actively using it or not.

I’ve already tried the usual solutions, more toys, added stimulation, placing a cat tree nearby, and so on, but none of it has made a difference.

At this point, the only idea I have left is to install some kind of partition or barrier to physically block off the desk area. I’d really appreciate any other creative or effective solutions.
