>The STJD (Superior Court of Sports Justice) Plenary defined this Friday (24th) the final punishment for Corinthians regarding the racist incident involving Palmeiras goalkeeper Carlos Miguel during the derby on the 12th, at Neo Química Arena.
>Initially, the STJD had punished the club with a fine of R$ 80,000 and the loss of home-field advantage for one match.
>By majority vote, the Plenary overturned the loss of home-field advantage and ruled instead that the team must play one match with the Lower West section closed. The fan who racially abused Carlos Miguel was located in that section, near the corner line. The fine was upheld.
>The punishment will take effect as soon as the decision is officially published. It is expected to be served during the derby against São Paulo on May 10th.
