My cat has anxiety issues that make him gnaw on his tail pretty frequently, it has to be constantly bandaged and it restricts his movement, it also makes his jumps less precise as his tail is too heavy to balance humself propertly, we live on a higher floor and can’t keep him out of the balcony once summer comes in. i thought of maybe making one if those vest harnesses with an extension that’d cover his tail, like a sock of sorts to keep it intact since if it was just the sock not connected to anything he’d pull it off right away

jt would have just enough room for him to move his tail freely but also keep it safe

I’m wondering if this would work, but also I’m reading that clothes can’t really be kept in cats for more than a few hours since it can restrict their movement and make them groom themself less properly, is there anything else i can do or a workaround?
