Jazz (orange tabby) is 8, and has skin allergies. He takes prednisolone and eats hydrolyzed food. I’d like to have insurance for him and best friend Blue (blue tabby 6yrs, no health issues, they are a bonded pair). We adopted them almost 4 weeks back and love them so much; they’ve settled right in, and have quickly risen to power. This is their home now, they just allow us to live in it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyway, I’m trying to decide which pet insurance to go with. Jazz only has the skin allergies, and I’m worried they won’t be covered since it’s pre-existing. MetLife covers skin allergies pre-existing, but I’m wondering what recommendations ya’ll have? Which insurances do you use and why do you like it best? It’s unclear with some insurance options whether skin allergies are covered or not.

I feel like I’ve been comparing policies for two weeks now, so I’d like to hear from others what their experience has been. If you’ve used MetLife let me know how that went.
