My cat in december got diagnosed with a mass on his kidney. He has overall been doing really well, he is active, he eats, he doesn’t hide. He had I think a 3 month checkup and it was the same size and had not changed in display so they said it was likely a cyst. Just got his results from his most recent check which would be 5 months from his original discovery and the mass has grown 2mm in diameter. The total size of the mass now is 1.2 cm. I am really upset because I wasn’t expecting this news, since he’s been doing so well and his last ultrasound was good. They are recommending we do an ultrasound-guided aspiration with cytology. I will be doing that. I am wondering if anyone else has had this with their cat and it wasn’t cancer? they said it could be benign adenoma?

He’s only 8
