A little bit off a long post because I have few questions about what to do with the sweet girl since she showed up. First, she first came around easter and had another cat following her. She was friendly enough to walk pretty close to us but the other cat was most skittish. I had some spare cans of food from my sisters cat so gave her and the other cats each one can and then went inside. We knew they would probably be back and she did but this time with a different cat that was also skittish. Still had a few cans so gave her another but the other cat wanted nothing to do with me so went away. Since then she has come alone everyday to eat and hang out. She sleeps around us and i have petted her with a stick to warm her up to a hand. I have petted a few time with my hand with no freak out but i try not to push it. She has swatted at my dad when he tried but not mean just like “please move your hand”. Today though he did pet her a bit with no issue. I believe she might be a stray she as she is very friendly compared to the other cats and seemingly knows what food is when i get it for her (both dry and wet). We have been taking about trying to catch her to get her sorted out on shots, medicine, and fixing. She has no signs of being fixed and we think the other two cats might be male so we don’t want kittens. She does leave after her time with us to head off to where we think the other cats hang out. I have seen her walk to a neighbors house and go under their porch and the heard meowing to which she just casual walked out and disappeared before i saw where she went. Talked to that neighbor and they had no clue about the cats under their porch and have not feed them. Like i said she has been around everyday since easter. My dad does not want her inside but has said she can stay outside. This is my second question. If we catch her and sort her out on what she needs what would be the best way to go about taking care of her outside and to make sure she stays healthy. I fear if we catch her and release her she will take off and not come back. I am not too attached but it has been nice to have a cat around since it has been a while since we had one. Also i know it is in the rules but i would like to know what king of cat she is just out of curiosity. Thanks to those who answer just need advice on what to do with her since she has been around often.
