It has been about a month or so of slowly introducing our cats. We’ve been keeping his cat (12) in our bedroom and my cat (6) in the rest of the apartment, swapping them regularly. I’ve also been attempting to scent swap as well. We just moved into this place so I don’t believe either cat should be feeling particularly territorial about it.

I’ve done supervised meetings with the two and it doesn’t go horribly, mostly just some hissing and growling but neither seem to be charging at the other or being violent. My issue is both of our cats are incredibly clingy. Each night one of them (depending on which one is not in the room that night) yowls so loudly all night, crying to be let in. It disrupts my sleep and I try to wear ear plugs but then I feel guilty. I don’t know how much longer I can last doing this, but I also want to be patient so that they don’t fight all the time.
