I’m 17 and I have applied to all the fast food places in my area and a few supermarkets… Most of the time I didn’t get an interview. However, for the places where I did land an interview (which is just KFC and McDonald’s) I never got hired… I think it is because of my baby face, and employers think I am younger than my age so they just reject me because they don’t want a person who looks like a kid working for them.

And the places I applied at already knows my age because I have to enter my birthdate on the application.

I feel like even if I moved to a larger city like Melbourne which has a larger job market, that still wouldn’t make a difference because my baby face makes me look like a child.

So… I was wondering if there are people out there who look way younger than their actual age who still managed to get a job.
