We found a kitten in a parking lot yesterday and decided to take it home after looking for mom but not finding her anywhere near. The kitten appears to be around 5-6 weeks. We’ve fed her kitten chicken puree and a little bit of watered-down kitten food and she’s been drinking water. She hasn’t shown signs of pain and has a lot of energy but hasn’t pooped for around 30 hours. She has an appointment on Wednesday so I’m wondering if I can help this at home before then. She was VERY hungry and we’ fed her small amounts 4 times a day. I’ve tried wet paper towels and rubbing her butt area and giving a light tummy massage (maybe not correctly). She doesn’t seemed too stressed as she plays and naps frequently after getting accustomed to us. Right now I have her in the with a place to sleep (she’s napping), water, and her litter box. She might have tried to go earlier (she only peed) but we had to pick her up and move her because it was on a vent.
