Short backstory:

-school counselor position

-applied 2 Fridays ago

-listing disappeared over that weekend, next day

-Monday morning asked to come interview that next Friday

-after the interview, she said I’d hear by the end of next week

-did not hear back but got this message late Friday:

“I apologize I have not reached out yet, we have had testing this week and more staff interview, so it has put us behind.

I will reach out early next week!”

Surely if they didn’t want me, they would have declined me instead of waiting till early next week? I’m just so nervous and it’s exhausting holding onto hope. I also don’t know what she meant by “more staff interview,” more internal applicants? Or just interviews for other positions possibly. Idk. I want it so bad but I’m just feeling hopeless
