so i was just walking home from my night shift at work, and i saw this sweet baby a couple blocks away from my house.

she was very timid and shy but warmed up to me pretty quickly when i did encourage her to come over to me. she was just hanging around outside someone’s house, i didn’t notice immediately but she looks quite skinny and when i pet her, her fur felt quite rough and like maybe a little patchy?

she was squinting a lot (but that might just be because of the sun) and was scratching herself with her back leg quite a bit. i’m pretty familiar with the outdoor cats in my area (of which there are quite a few) cause i always stop to say hello to them when i’m walking to/from walk but i’m near certain i haven’t seen this baby before.

do you guys think that she could be a stray? or in need of help at all? i couldn’t hang around with her too long cause i had to get home to my own cat who was in need of her breakfast, and i didn’t really want to jump to conclusions about her being a stray given that she was just outside of someone’s house and seemed pretty calm, albeit quite timid.

i think if i see her out and about again i’ll see if i can get her to come to me and i’ll try and take her to a shelter or ask whoever’s house she’s outside of if they’re her owners. i could make a post on facebook and ask people in my local area, too. just wanted to see what the general public think since i’ve never encountered a stray in my area before. thanks in advance :)
