I was contacted by a recruiter and moved to next rounds but I am absolutely baffled by the level of incompetence by their scheduler Elizabeth Shanahan. Twice she has sabotaged my meetings and scheduled them wrong.

1st time I got an email less than 30 minutes before the call letting me know the call needed to be rescheduled. Okay, normal, maybe an emergency came up, but the second time I showed up and sat on the Google Meet and no one got on the call.

I emailed the recruiter to ask what happened, and Lizzie answered instead. She informs me the Hiring Manager was waiting for me on a call 30 minutes before and I never showed. She even snidely mentioned I should get my time correct next time (and then proceeded not to know the US has different time zones by giving me an option for a new call that was actually hours apart, this was after she gave me the wrong timezone for HM stating they were in NY when they’re in CA).

Not to be gaslit, I forwarded the email with the call time I was given. It clearly stated the time.

The level of incompetence is staggering from a company building driverless cars. It’s leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Openclaw can do a better job than “Lizzie”. I’m shocked they hired BPOs from Russell Tobin to perform this job. The prep that goes into interviews for these roles is difficult enough but to have those interviews wrongly scheduled by a scheduler who can’t press boxes on a calendar is baffling.

But my real concern is the hiring loop. I applied for two other roles I fit. A recruiter emailed me back to jump on a call for one of those roles. I let them know I am currently in contention for another role and they never replied. I emailed, put time on their calendar, and sent a follow up and crickets. I emailed the recruiter for the role I’m currently interviewing with and also crickets. I’ve been ghosted twice on messages I’ve sent him and I’m in active rounds!

Has anyone had this bad of an experience with Waymo or am I just unlucky?
