Eve is 12. She’s a 100% purebred moggy (with the attitude of the Siamese Cats from Lady and the Tramp).

I cannot brush this cat. She does not like It. I can do her claws, just about, but she hates being brushed.

I’ve tried acclimating her to it, to no avail. And I’ve had her since she was four weeks old; I took her in because she was the runt and had a flea-infestation that would probably have killed her. I also worked in veterinary at the time, so I had on-hand professional support.

She‘s okay Summer to Winter but it’s now, when she’s losing her Winter coat, that becomes a problem. Every year I’ve had to sneak attack brushes in.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a brush or comb that can get through to the inner layers of her fur effectively, without too much pull?

She *has* to have her fur brushed, it’d be great if we can get through it as quick as possible.

TIA.

Cat pics for tax. Excuse the marks on the window, the local birds remind me that it’s tea time by banging on the window.
