My cat went missing back in October of last year. It’s been almost 6 months. He slipped out of my friends place after 2-3 weeks of being there. My friend that was caring for him and my other cat lives way out in the country of Victoria, Texas where he got out. He was last seen by Shubert Rd & FM446.

I’ve talked to as many neighbors as I could find out there, posted flyers everywhere on peoples doorsteps & in person, & went to every vet & shelter in town. I even took flyers to the popular restaurants and spots I would think people that live out there would see it. I’ve searched for him on foot. Have looked through debri and old junk cars in one yard someone claimed they saw him at. Ive left behind sweaty shirts so he smells me. I put out a trap with food he loves. I’ve driven over 300 miles multiple trips and driven around a 2 mile radius multiple times. I’ve seen over 50 cats in the area, him not being one of them.

Some of the neighbors said they’ll keep an eye out and have my number from the flyer to reach me. Others were standoffish with me or blew me off. I want to look for him at night, but being we’re in Texas out in the country, many signs are posted around about No Trespassing or 2nd Amendment rights. I don’t want to get shot at.

I have to move to North Carolina within the next few weeks and am desperate to find him. I’m picking up my other cat today from my friends, but my heart is still half empty. I’m praying this post reaches people in Victoria, Texas & the surrounding area. My cat that went missing is a 7yo male, fixed, & microchipped. He’s my baby. I’ve had him since he was 7 weeks old when he was really sick. The vets didn’t think he would make it, now I feel like I’ve failed him. I’ve been going through an emotional rollercoaster the past 6 months.
