I just adopted a new between 7 month and 1 year old cat. She was at the shelter for 9 days before we adopted her. She farts probably twice a day, usually before pooping. I have 2 other cats who have never farted. Is that normal? Her poops are a little runny as well but not completely liquid. We have transitioned her over to a different diet than the one she was on which was strictly kibble and now she has a mix of wet and dry food. With her wet food being pate and her dry food being Royal Canin Dental food. She barely eats the dental food though and mostly cashes in on the wet food. She was dewormed at the shelter and I just gave her her second round of deworming but her stools dont look to have parasites. She currently is on a topical treatment to help clear up a little eye goop as well and she gets a churu after that daily as a reward. She weighs about 6 pounds. Is super playful and is a super happy cat. Her belly does not look inflated or bloated and she will let me poke and prod her to her basically without consequence. Overall, she seems entirely healthy. Other than the farts and the slightly runny poop. We’ve had her for about 2 weeks and during that time she has been getting her medicine and daily churu. Her poops and toots mainly started occuring after doing the switch to her new diet which she has been on for about a week and to my knowledge it has remained about the same. She was eating a primarly kibble diet before. Can it take their tummies a bit to adjust to a new diet? My wife says I am worrying for nothing but thats what I do. She’s my little girl and I love her more than anything.

Please give me honest feedback if you guys think I’m just being a worrywart and she’s fine and or if there are a few things I could try to help.
