I like cats so much more than dogs. Once my kids left and our pets passed, I began to travel so I stayed animal free. My husband has many minor illnesses and can’t travel. He got a dog. My travel is not currently as frequent but looking to pick up again before the end of the year. I miss having a cat so much. But hate that I will have to burden my husband (he will if I ask) or a friend to care for my cat. We can board the dog if we travel together. Am I being selfish?

I volunteer at several places and have no extra time to volunteer at a pet rescue. I am older and would be looking for older cat.
