Just a little background, my cat used to belong to someone else in our block of flats and was reported multiple times by neighbours for animal neglect as he was always out in extreme weather conditions. His previous owners barely gave him indoor access so he’s used to fend for himself outside and likes being there.
Since he’s been with me, we try to stick to an outdoor schedule always make sure he’s indoors overnight. This routine was working well for us until he started to have seizures. Due to the multiple vet visits and anti anxiety drugs in his system it’s really unsafe for him to go outside but he won’t stop trying despite being wobbly. I can’t have him outside in that condition but do allow supervised walks for 10-15 mins few times a day but that dosent seem to be enough for him. I’ve tried playing with him he dosent want to play, he’ll only ever respond to food but we can’t feed him all day. It’s a flat so we have a balcony which he occasionally watches cars from both doesn’t love spending a lot of time there.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Could you suggest tips on making him stay indoors without being stressed?
