i just got my lovely cat on monday from a friend and have noticed she’s been scratching her ears, shaking her head, and has scabs by her ears. gave them a look and it definitely looks (and smells) like mites. going to vet and getting meds tomorrow as it’s late at night right now. however, as someone with terrible health anxiety, is it possible for her to give me the mites? she has been warming up to me and has been on my chest and in my face often the last few days, and i don’t want to kick her off my bed. i’m a bit scared that i’m gonna contract it even though it kind of sounds illogical/irrational.
