I’ve been networking a lot lately and I keep hearing the same thing. People say my resume is strong and my background is impressive. Even interviewers told me that.

But in the end I still got told that I’m not senior enough and they’re going with someone who’s just better

The norm now is that I have to be the best of the best just to get the same kind of role I landed a few years ago. I honestly regret going to grad school

Looking at the years I wasted on study and the tuition I paid, it feels like it was all for nothing. The market barely leaves room for entry level anymore, and if I’d known I’d end up going back to the same kind of job I wouldn’t have left to get another degree
