Hi! I have two cats, Silva Boy and Little Speck. I’ve had them since they were very young. I was never really a “cat person” prior, but decided to get a cat, as a animal lover who knows that they are slightly less maintenance than a dog. 3 1/2 years later, and I can say that I have fully converted over to the cat side lol. they’re honestly the sweetest guys ever and show zero aggression. (I can believe i used to be scared of them)
Silva Boy is especially attached to me (I think he may have been separated from his mom a little early), so we’re like this 🤞🏾. He follows me everywhere.
I live in a spacious one-bedroom apartment with my boyfriend, and we’re about to bring home a new kitten. I’ve done the Google research (separate room, slow introductions, feeding on opposite sides of the door, scent swapping, etc.)
What I’m really curious about is people’s real-life experiences:
Have you seen any behavioral changes in your existing cats after bringing in a kitten?
Has anyone had a super sweet cat become territorial or aggressive?
Did your cats eventually adjust back to normal?
i want to make sure my current cats still feel safe, loved, and not replaced.
Any advice, stories, or things you wish you knew beforehand would be really appreciated!
New kitty is the third picture. Any name suggestions?
Bonus cat in glasses pic!
