Hiii I have two cats that are amazing they’re both so sweet and people friendly and friendly to each other ~half the time or more.

My boy cat is 2 &1/2 and fixed, he’s v big but not chunky

My girl cat will be 2 in August

Okay so they play sometimes but THEN sometimes they’ll be chasing each other around and my boy cat decides he grows imaginary balls and will pin the baby girl down and bite her back until she screams and I have to break them up, and every time he does it he walks around the house after and meows the most intense yowls I ever hear him make and I don’t understand at allllll why he’s doing this, it lessens sometimes but it’s been a thing that always happens and I would say at least 4-5x a week while I’m home so it’s def happening when I’m not home which makes me so sad

She will instigate fights or plays with him but it goes both ways so is this a known thing?? Is he bored? I’ve never had cats before having these two and they seem totally fine other than this happening, he doesn’t spray or anything either so I really have no clue why he’d feel the need to be so meannn to his little sister (not actually his sister)

Edit: they’re both rescues, he was about 5mo when I got him but I know the foster personally and don’t believe he had any weird home life before me, and she was about 8 weeks old and only has one eye (she’s a sweety though, all the way, no red flags on that end either))
