My cat Cooper was found Thanksgiving at about a few weeks old, so we’re guessing he was born sometime in October. He has always been an affectionate, social, and sweet kitty. About a week ago, I found some cat pee in our shower. He uses the litter box as well (litter box is in our garage by his food/water; he uses a kitty door to pass through and it has never been a problem previously). The garage is never used to park cars, mainly used for storage and Cooper’s essentials. He is scheduled for neutering in June, though his neutering may be more like a spaying (buddy’s balls haven’t dropped yet, bless his heart). Today, while my husband was laying on our bed, Cooper sprayed on the bed and my husband was in the splash zone. He also got aggressive with me today and attacked my arm out of nowhere (it wasn’t a playful kind of attack, this was very different from his play bites). I’m guessing it’s him needing to be neutered and he’s getting hormonal/territorial, but we can’t schedule any sooner. I need advice! He’s never had accidents in the house EVER prior to this, and we are new homeowners so I would hate for any of our furniture/carpet to be ruined. He sprayed on the bed because I had been closing the bathroom doors, so maybe he was trying to find somewhere else to go? Should I leave the bathroom door open and let him do his business there since it’s better than on the bed? I’m at a loss on what to do :(
