We have two DSH cats, and they both get the occasional hairball. I brush them periodically and they both get Churu hairball control.
One of them, however, has atypical looking hairballs- they are not ball or tootsie roll shaped, rather they are just flat thin layers of fur with no discernible shape. Is that normal or is something else going on?
He’s had ultrasounds in the past because he was vomiting a lot but the u/s never found anything. Blood work is normal. I did figure out that the vomiting was from his food so we switched that out.
