I consider this to be a familiar type of situation as je wasn’t mine to begin with but he adopted me as his parent. He won’t leave me and has visible separation anxiety when I’m not with him. He was fat before I even moved into my boyfriend’s parents house. Originally gizmo (cat) was my MIL’S.
