For the first time in six years my cat Coco has not come home for four days now.

I left the house on Thursday afternoon with him being inside and came back the next morning, he was gone and did not come back since then.

We have a cat door. The cats roam around in the enclosed garden area (many separated gardens) we share with our neighboring buildings.

He has never left those gardens.

Usually he is home within two hours and never goes far.

When I call him, he is there within seconds.

I dont know what to do, I am so devastated and dont know how to cope with the uncertainty of what might hae happened to him or where he is.

I have asked all.the neighbours. Looked into multiple sheds, hung up flyers and put them in mailboxes. I have been calling him and searching for him at night and early in the morning. I registered him missing and checking cat rescue centers nd Facebook groups every hour. I am going crazy and can’t stop crying.

He is my baby and he is just the sweetest, cuddliest cat alive. And a why and anxious,he must be so afraid if he is out in the streets.

Nobody has seen him in the last few days.

I have deleted all my options of what to do…

I am heartbroken.

More than that we are supposed to go on a three weeks trip this week, leaving.our second cat with a sitter - I feel guilty and don’t know if I can leave while my cat is missing.

How can I cope with this uncertainty?

Are there stories where cats come back after days and weeks? Did I miss something?
