Mocha is 21 and went blind a couple years ago due to complications from then-undetected kidney disease. Most of her time is spent napping, but she’ll descend from the bed to eat snacks, and when she jumps back on the bed she lets loose with these agonized meows. This is new behavior in the last 2-3 months. Her last checkup in November was unremarkable

She quiets down after a minute in her own, or immediately it I come say hello and pet her.
