I never paid much attention to my toilet beyond basic cleaning.

Then I got a cat.

For some reason, she’s obsessed with drinking out of it. Full water bowl right next to her? Nope. Straight to the toilet like it’s a five-star fountain.

Now I’m hyper aware of how clean it actually is, and honestly… it’s kind of stressing me out.

I’ll scrub the bowl, let the cleaner sit, everything looks spotless. Then not even a week later, I start noticing that same faint buildup again along the inner rim where the water comes out. Not super obvious, but enough that I notice it now.

Before, I probably would’ve ignored it. Now I’m like… why does this keep coming back??

Is it just the water? Am I not cleaning it properly? Or is this one of those things that just never stays fully clean for long?

At this point I’m half trying to fix the problem, half trying to convince my cat to stop treating the toilet like a water source.

Anyone else deal with this? How do you keep it actually clean for longer?
