I’m not sure if this is a dumb question or even the right subreddit.

I adopted Cheese almost three years ago, and all his paperwork just says he’s somewhere between 1 and 9 years old, which honestly doesn’t help at all.

I’ve celebrated his 7th birthday twice now, and by September he’d be “turning” 8. I also have another cat, Roxy. I’ve had her since she was a kitten, and she’ll be 11 this September. So I kind of know how the difference when they are older.

The difference between them is pretty noticeable. Cheese is super active, always playing with my roommate’s kittens, has a healthy coat, and eats just fine. Roxy’s energy levels aren’t really the same, obviously.
