I feed my cat fancy feast primavera, the chicken, turkey, and tuna flavors. It looks like they are about 67 calories each. my cat is a bit overweight and I want him to lose weight so I need advice.

I feed him half in the morning, half in the middle of the day, and then open a new can and give half again at the end of the day. & then I also give him a healthier dry food about 1-2 small handfuls… I’m not sure why he is still gaining weight my vet said he should get 250 calories a day.

two of those cans would be around 130 calories? and then the dry food would be adding too that. and that doesn’t even seem like it would add too 250 I’m not sure
