hey cat side of Reddit! I’m here for a more serious topic then usual.

my formally feral cat, michi, is excessivly grooming himself to the point of ripping out his own fur.

the picture above is one I took just now as a visual.

anyway, he’s about 5-6 years old, adopted him off the streets about a year ago . we still let him out rather regularly, at-least 3 times a week I would say? Since I’d be rather cruel to force him inside when he was born and lived out.

what I’m asking is what I can do to help. We’ve tried calming pheromones, switching food and medication (apologises, don’t remember which) and have seen the vet. I really want to help him with this but have no clue how.

I think it really started like 3 months ago.
